These four key tools are useful when creating take-offs in the Cordell Tab.

Each tool has a specific function to help you get quantity take-offs from your plan with greater speed and accuracy.

Use this tool to measure the continuous lineal meter of an area. |

Use this tool to measure segments on a plan. |

Use this tool to perform a dot count of specific items or areas on a plan. |
All the items in the Cordell Tab are based on these four take-off icon types. In the example below, you can see that the initial sqm take-off for the concrete floor slab corresponds with the green Area icon, which contains the yellow sub-items connected to the main take-off. The other take-off icon types can also be seen in the Cordell Tab structure.

The yellow cube icon contains the formula calculations (for materials etc.) governed by the main take-off.

This main take-off will appear on the left side of the plan. You may also:

click on the yellow light bulb icons to switch each layer on or off on the plan

click on Estimating to view items and sub-items within each layer

click on Expand All to view all sub-items
